Stanford Pro Day ReportPosted: March 22, 2013
Another important pro day came and went today, this time in sunny Cali.
NFL’s Gil Brandt reported on the happenings at Stanford, which featured first-round prospect Zach Ertz.
The big news for Ertz is that he showed up five pounds lighter than the NFL Combine, and improved on both his 40-yard dash (down from 4.68 to 4.63) and the broad jump. Ertz is locked in as the second ranked tight end in this year’s draft class behind Notre Dame’s Tyler Eifert.
Running back Stepfan Taylor also improved on his 40-yard dash times (4.76 to 4.63), as he had attended the combine with an ankle injury.
Other prospects showcased were linebacker Chase Thomas, tight end Levine Toilolo and fullback Alex Debniak–all of whom are late-round prospects.
