9. Jets – CB Dee MillinerPosted: April 25, 2013
Measurables: 6’0″ 201 lbs 32″ arm length
NFL Combine: 4.35 40-yard DID NOT BENCH
NFL Comparison: Charles Tillman
Forget about Revis, New York has their new cornerback. While it was decently clear that the Jets were looking for Austin before the Rams traded up, New York still gets a replacement that ensures bumbling corner Kyle Wilson will not start opposite Antonio Cromartie.
Milliner is by far the most talented corner in the draft, capable of playing in any scheme — but injury concerns may lead to problems in the future. He’s a good tackler and latches on to corners, drawing comparisons to an older Champ Bailey due to a worse top-speed than some elite corners but already exhibits great instincts and an presence both in the pass and run games.
He may lack experience, but there is a ton of potential here and he’ll step in immediately as a starter with Revis’ absence.
